Will you be pulled over by the state police (PA) because of a lapse in car insurance, even though you are already insured?

I was pulled over recently for what the police told me, being uninsured in my vehicle. In the meantime, I was actually insured, but didn’t have my car insurance card. They gave me sobriety in the field and a breathalyzer, which I had failed. Can I fight a DUI with that?
