I was pulled over for a change of lane without a blinker in June 2019. It was late, and the officer said he smelled of alcohol, but I told him I wasn’t drinking. I began feeling dizzy when he asked me to get out of the car, and I fainted before any tests were done. Next thing I know I’m answering questions in an ambulance. The cop, along with the doctors, was taking details. I’ve been taken to the ER. The doctors ran tests, the EKG, and they took my blood when I was first brought in. In the morning, I was released. My car was impounded, I picked it up, and I found about a week later that I had a license suspension notice on the DPS website.
I didn’t do anything, so I suppose my license has been revoked, but it’s not. It was renewed in March of this year. I haven’t heard anything about the incident, and it’s been 1 year and 3 months. Two friends in the same county had DUI after me and had already been charged / blood test results done, etc. Could I just let this go? The hospital advised me that they drew blood not for medical reasons, but as a regular practice when police were involved with the patient being admitted. They’re not going to check what happened to it.
