I am a pro and presented a petition against the other side for contempt. The only true ‘cost’ I have (in its literal form, dollar-for-dollar) is the filing charge. As a pro-self, I spent several hours writing the petition, preparing a legal strategy, and then the next hearing of contempt.
How can I (or is there a president) claim costs beyond dollars expended, but an equivalent of my time? For e.g., missed work (forced to take vacation time) to plan and take part in a trial?
